If you want to locate us, it's probably best to tou take a map og Europe. Take a look on Scandinavia and find Norway. Quite a long country from Kristiansand in the south to Kirkenes in the north.

When you find the North Cape, the most northern point of Norway, you will recognise the map you see above here. Then it's easy to find our workshop in Tana and our summershop, along the road to the North Cape,

Our workshop, Tana Gull og Sølvsmie AS, was established in 1976 in Tanabru Senrum as the first silverworkshop in Eastern Finnmark, Northern Norway. ( Map of Tanabru Centre, Vi are nr 25 )

In an old renovated log house we produce and sell lappish gold, silver and bronze jewellery. We also sell other items like lappish knives, textiles, pewter, brass and glass products produced locally.

We make special jewellery for the Alta Museum .The design of this jewellery is taken from stoneage rockcarvings which were found in Jiebmaluokta, Alta.

Our other speciality is jewellery made for the Tromsø Museum and several other smaller museums all over Northern Norway. These bronse jewelleries are copies from vikingtime findings, all excavated in Northern Norway.
The originals are exsposed at the Tromsø Museum.

Spring 2005 we finished our largest project since 1988: The total remaking of both workshop and salesroom. We have now nearly twice the space which meens better working conditions for our employees and a much larger salesroom . In 2007 we build a new and larger office.

The salesroom is now decorated with a lot of ancient items from Tana. Our salesroom is now more looking like a museum then a silverworkshop. We hope you will find the exhibition interesting enough to visit us several times.

The workshop is open all year around ( 8:30 - 16:00 ) at normal norwegian opening hours. For groups: Please contact us ahead to make a special appointment.
